FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Girl Scouts team up with the American Legion to send Girl Scout Cookies to Afghanistan
(WOODSTOCK, GA) Come out and support your local community! This year Girl Scout Troop 10428, out of the Hickory Flat/Holly Springs, GA area has the chance to show off what they have learned about the guiding principles behind Girl Scouting. Girl Scouts make a pledge to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring and courageous and strong. Girls Scout Troop 10428 is taking those values to the streets with their 2011 Girl Scout Cookie Program Gift of Caring!
These girls are learning about money management, entrepreneurship, self-confidence and what it means to give back. The girls will have areas set up to take donations for the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 45 in Canton. Any patron wishing to donate a box of cookies will have the option to donate to our troop’s Gift of Caring project and send to our troops overseas. The girls will also have the opportunity to help pack the care packages being sent!
